Flushing Ring.  A flushing ring is metal donut-shaped ring installed between the seal and the customer process connection. It is a wetted part. The ring has a port(s) that can be used to flush the surface of the diaphragm during cleaning. The ports are threaded and available in either ¼-inch or ½-inch sizes. The ports are available with extensions to make them easier to reach. The ring may also have ring holders to ensure the entire assembly aligns correctly to prevent leaks

The ring can be referred to as a Calibration Ring. The flushing ports on the side of the ring allow the user to apply a calibration pressure and consequently calibrate the unit against that pressure. Calibration is accomplished by sandwiching the calibration ring between the remote seal and a blank process flange.

The ring can also serve as a reducer, a spacer, or a heat sink.

The ring is available as part of the diaphragm seal model code or as a separate line item.

It appears that there is no difference between a Bleed Ring and a Drip Ring. The vast majority of companies call them bleed rings because they allow bleeding pressure or mount pressure gauges or other sensors into a piping system.

A bleed ring is a ring section with one or more radial pipe connections designed to fit between standard flanges within the bolt circle, using conventional gasket material. The ring normally comes with a 1/2 inch socket weld or 3/4 inch tapped for connecting with valves and instruments. The face of the ring can also be made to matched with any flange type, and has different sizes based on the ASME flange rating of the process piping.

INCONEL FLUSH RING

The flushing flange or ring is used for flushing solution combined with diaphragm seal. This type of flushing flange or ring is clamped between process nozzle and diaphragm seal. The reducer flange is used to mount a larger diaphragm seal to a smaller process connection.

Application:

• The flushing ring is designed to be sandwitched between the process flange & the diaphragm seal. material collected in front of diaphragm can be flushed out through the flushing ports.
