Product Details:

15-5ph Stainless Steel Round Bar is a variation of the 17-4 chromium nickel copper precipitation hardening steel type. This type of stainless steel alloy has high strength and good corrosion resistance. Micro Metals  is a leading manufacturer and supplier of the different types of 15-5 Ph Rod products in different dimensions. These are used in shafts, making fasteners, fittings and gears, aircraft components and in high pressure corrosive parts that are fabricated. Valves made up of the AMS 5659 15-5PH Flat Bar are common in engine parts and in other applications as well.

The reduced delta ferrite makes sure that the toughness is increased. There are different conditions to the different bars such as H900, H1025, H1075 and others. Each of these has different yield and tensile strengths. The yield strengths range from 75ksi to 170ksi and the minimum tensile strength of the DIN 1.4545 Hex Bars ranges from 115ksi to 190ksi depending on the different conditions.

The applications include boat shafts, flat bars, pump shafts, pump parts, gears valves and other tough components. Product Details:

Grade 440C is also referred to by manufacturers and suppliers by its UNS designation alloy S44004.  JIS SUS 440C black bar is an alloy that belongs to the martensitic class of stainless steels. The properties of 400 series are also shared by this alloy. Amongst all the 400 stainless steel series, the chemistry of 440C stainless steel round bar is known to have the highest content of carbon. Typically after undergoing a heat treatment procedure, the 440Cc stainless steel welding rod is able to secure a hardness that levels between  58 HRC – 60 HRC. Often, manufacturers treat the alloy 440C to an oil quenching treatment.

Oil quenching the ASTM A479 UNS S44004 hex bar aids in optimising its hardness properties. After heat treatment, not only its hardness but other properties like mechanical strength, and wear resistance of the grade astm a276 type 440C flat bar gets a good boost. A peculiarity of this alloy grade is that once hardened, the AISI 440C threaded bar could hold a sharp edge and combats corrosion. Moreover, it is possible to achieve a near mirror finish, by ordering a procedure as simple as polishing.  Compared to austenitic grades, the 440C stainless steel rods are known to exhibit moderate corrosion resistance properties, especially if compared to alloy 304. 

Although it is possible to harden this grade of stainless steel through the use of a heat treatment procedure, machining is preferable to practise on the DIN 1.4125 square bar. This is because in an annealed condition it is easy to machine the ss 440C bright bar as it tends to become extremely difficult once the alloy has been hardened.

17-7 Ph Stainless Steel Round Bar is made up of a chromium, nickel aluminum alloy. Micro Metals is a leading manufacturer and supplier of the different types of bars from this material grade. Product Details:

Stainless Steel 420 Round Bar is made up of a martensitic stainless steel with high yield strength of up to 1365MPa at 316 degrees Celsius and up to 1620MPa minimum tensile strength at 427 degrees Celsius. The standard values are 495MPa for yield and 700MPa for tensile strength. Micro Metals is a leading manufacturer of the SS 420 Rod and bars in different shapes, sizes and dimensions. The material has carbon, manganese, silicon, phosphorus, sulfur, 11.5% chromium and nickel in the composition. There are different specifications, types and finishes such as the ASTM A276 type 420 Bright Round bars.

The finishes can be bright, polished or black. The size ranges from 3mm to 350mm. The form of the round, square, hex, rectangular, wire, ingot, forging, wire mesh, billet and more. The UNS S42000 AISI 420 Black Bar can be used without polishing in general corrosive applications because the material is corrosion resistant. The martensitic steel grades have very high wear and tear resistance. The ASTM A479 Stainless Steel 420 Hex Bar has 1 to 6m length and custom cut to length sizes. The different bars have different sizes. The hex bars have 18mm t o57mm thickness alike the Stainless Steel 420 Square Bar.

Product Details:

Unlike their austenitic stainless steel counterparts, 430F, which belongs to ferritic class exhibit superior resistance to stress related corrosion cracking. As opposed to austenitic class stainless steels, the 430F stainless steel round bar has better thermal conductivity. This is an advantage for components when used for applications such as heat exchangers. While the chemistry of alloy 430 and 430F stainless steel rods is similar, the main difference between both of them is that alloy 430F has an increase in the content of sulfur. When sulfur is added to the alloy of grade JIS SUS 430F black bar, its machinability is a property that sees a dramatic surge.

Though this sulfur containing alloy lacks the formability properties that accompany grade 430SS, it retains moderate ductility, which can prevent cracking by failure caused due to high pressure or stresses. The high content of chromium in astm a276 type 430F flat bar has good resistance to corrosion caused by pitting. Another characteristically important property of ferritic steels like these is that the AISI 430F threaded bar exhibits magnetic behaviour. Unlike austenitic steels that have zero magnetic properties, the benefit of using an ASTM A479 UNS S43020 hex bar is that their magnetism could be put to use in certain applications, making it an asset. Similar to most ferritic stainless steel alloys, the  DIN 1.4104 square bar can neither be hardenable by heat treatment; nor can the ss 430F bright bar be strengthened by cold work.
